Kebabs for two, St John Street, Islington

I went for a dazed walk on Saturday  and passed this kebab restaurant on St John Street. It’s a favourite of mine because of its optimistic offer of al fresco dining – a pair of patched up moulded plastic seats, attached to a pair of moulded plastic tables.

This gives a maximum of four people the opportunity to dine in style, provided they don’t mind the prying eyes from the stream of ATM customers braving the ₤1.75 transaction charge at the newsagent next door.

At the moment it’s a bit windswept and bleak, but I’m sure that when spring comes it’ll be the spot of choice for drunken post-pub courting couples.
